# Asking good questions

> Practical tips for getting accurate, well-sourced answers from AskHQ.

AskHQ works best when it has the right material and a clear question. These tips help you get
accurate, well-cited answers.

## Tips

    Instead of *"tell me about time off,"* ask *"How many PTO days does a full-time caregiver
    accrue in their first year?"* A specific question retrieves more precise sources.

    AskHQ answers from your uploaded documents and connected systems. If you ask about a policy
    you haven't uploaded yet, it can't answer from it. See

    Every grounded answer shows the documents it used. Open them to confirm the answer reflects
    your current policy — especially for anything you'll act on.

    *"List 2026 hires by job title"* can return a chart you can
